Wikia-Search
Wikia-Search has officially been opened to everybody and anybody to edit, comment and help arrange a community built and regulated search engine. So rather than rely upon the search engine crawlers to rank websites rankings on Wikia-Search are determined by the Wikia community.
Allowing everyone to take part in the editing and monitoring of ranking is a new dimension on the search engine experience however, it does run a high risk of being manipulated and misused for optimizing purposes. Wikia-Search founder Jimmy Wales’ does remain positive that the overall community philosophy will prevail; yet looking at the occasional whoopsies that does occur in Wikipedia websites if targeted do remain at risk from negative ranking.
